Spice Market Socks
The fourth pattern in our Sock of the Month “World Traveler Series”!
The “Spice Market” Socks pay homage to the vibrant colors seen in traditional marketplaces across India, the Middle East, and North Africa. The inspiration for these socks comes from the gorgeous bins and baskets of the colorful spices seen here, and entrelac seemed like the perfect fit to mimic their shape and structure. Worked from the toe up, the top of the foot and leg are worked in entrelac while the foot remains in stockinette stitch. (By dumb luck, I managed to get very close matching socks which never happens with self-striping sock yarn in my world!)
