Pattern for a Pipevine Swallowtail Blanket / Tapestry. This pattern comes with both a graph and written directions.

You will need 6 skeins of slate blue (or background color), 2 skeins of black, 2 skeins of gray, 1 skein of aqua/teal, 1 skein of orange and 1 skein of white to complete this pattern. I recommend carrying the background color, black and gray through the entire pattern to keep things even. I would only add the aqua/teal, orange and white into the sections they are in as needed. I would make each white and orange spot a separate piece of yarn while carrying the teal through the teal section.

This pattern is 150 stitches wide by 166 rows tall.

The pattern should come to about 4’ wide when crocheted with a medium weight yarn and a J sized hook. This pattern can be repeated and sewn together or it can be combined with other patterns that are 150 stitches wide. ---Most of my patterns are 150 stitches wide--- You can also add a border to increase the size of the blanket.

This pattern can be made with the type of yarn of your choice, I recommend using a medium weight yarn.

It is all single stitch crochet. In order to make this blanket you will need to know how to carry yarn (there are great youtube videos that can teach you how to do the Tapestry Crochet Technique. I highly recommend trying a small simple pattern to practice carrying yarn before attempting a larger project. Carrying yarn gets more difficult as you add more colors.

Once you have purchased this pattern a text document that like this (below) will automatically download to you. If you have any trouble receiving it message me and I will have it e-mailed to you in no time. This pattern also comes with a Graph!

1.) A-150
2.) A-30, B-20, A-10, B-50
3….

The #’s are for each row
The letters are for different colors. (A = Slate Blue (or background color), B = Black, C = Gray, D = Aqua/Teal, E = Orange, F = White)
(so the above pattern would have the first row be 150 stitches of color A. 2nd row would have 30 stitches of color A followed by 20 stitches of color B followed by 10 stitches of color A and so on….)

I make custom patterns as well. If you are interested in a pattern that does not exist message me and we can talk about having one custom designed for you.
