Spicula tee is a new design added to Spicula patterns family, including Spicula Sweater and Spicula cardigan as well.

Spicula Tee is an oversized tee with short raglan sleeves.This t-shirt is designed with a crewneck, adjusted length for body and sleeves and oversized fit for comfortable wear. Small cables start right at the neck and move along the yoke merging in raglan lines.
Choose your favorite summer yarn for warm days or use wool yarn for cold days in mid-season period. Spicula tee is a perfect basic tee for everyday wear or for special occasions.
It pairs great with your favorite skirts or with jeans and shorts.

Spicula Tee is worked top down seamlessly in the round with raglan increases on the yoke. Once the yoke is ready, sleeves stitches are placed on hold and body is worked in the round to the hem. Optionally - body is shaped with German short rows and waist shaping. Sleeves are worked in the round after the body is finished. Both sleeves and body are finished with delicate ribbing.

Yoke length (below neckline) – 18 (20.5, 23, 25, 28, 30.5, 32) cm / 7.0 (8.0, 9.0, 9.75, 11.0, 12.0, 12.5)’’;
Body length (from underarm to hem) – 28 cm / 11.0’’ or adjustable;
Upper arms circumferences –33 (36, 39.5, 40, 45, 47, 49) cm / 13.0 (14.0, 15.5, 15.75, 17.75, 18.5, 19.25)’’;

Length of the body and sleeves can be easily adjusted to desired length.

Needles
Circular 3.25 mm (US 3) 60 -80 cm (24-32)’’ long for neckline and hem ribbing;
Circular 3.5 mm (US 4) 80-100 cm (32-40)’’ long for body;
Dpns 3.25 mm (US 3) and 3.5 mm (US 4) OR circular 3.25 mm (US 3) and 3.5 mm (US 4) 40-50 cm (16-20)’’ long OR the same needles as for the body and hem ribbing, if using a magic loop method, for the sleeves.
Or needle size needed to obtain the required gauge.
Notions: tapestry needle, 4 stitch markers (one in different color), cable needle, scrap yarn or stitch holders.

Original yarn
Approx 5 (5, 6, 6, 7, 7, 8) balls / 250 (250, 300, 300, 350, 350, 400) g of Drops Safran (100% cotton; 50g / 1.8oz, 160 m / 175 yds, color 07 grey).

Yardage: approx 700 (750, 820, 900, 1000, 1090, 1190) m / 765 (820, 897, 984, 1094, 1192, 1301) yds of similar sport weight yarn.
For longer tee, you need more yarn than estimated.
Suggested yarn: heavy fingering or sport weight yarn to obtain the required gauge.

Gauge
23 sts x 31 rnds = 10cm (4’’) in St st on larger needles in the round after blocking.
