This is the very first pattern I ever wrote! Unfortunately, that’s kind of evident in the pattern. I’ll be rewriting the pattern soon, but until then your spider buddy will use a small amount of worsted weight yarn, a pair of 8-10mm safety eyes, and a pair of smaller safety eyes (6mm or smaller will work best).

This pattern can also be made with larger yarns, just size up the safety eyes and use a hook that creates a fabric that won’t let stuffing escape. I wouldn’t recommend using a thinner yarn if you’re using safety eyes; it’s kind of difficult to fit the eyes in the worsted weight version, and if it were any smaller the backings of the eyes would not fit.
