Spider Web Mosaic Blanket
This pattern is worked in overlay mosaic crochet in rows and includes a double border to enclose the yarn ends. The design was inspired by a graphghan pattern my daughter made for my Etsy shop a couple years ago.
Although it looks intricate, overlay mosaic is actually fairly simple. Only one color is worked at a time. If you can work a single crochet, double crochet, and a chain stitch, you can do overlay mosaic crochet.
At a gauge of 3.5 sc per inch (14 sc = 4”) with worsted weight yarn the finished size is approximately 59x69”. This pattern will work nicely with other yarn sizes such as dk weight/category 3 yarns with an appropriate size hook for the yarn, but the finished size and amount of yarn needed will be different.
You’ll need 2 contrasting colors of worsted weight yarn.
Color A = 1800 yds
Color B = 1650 yds
Border = 550 yds
The pattern file includes yarn and hook information, charted graph marked with Xs for the double crochet stitches, row by row written instructions, border instructions, and basic overlay mosaic crochet information.
