This pattern was designed as my contribution to Sunset Crochet’s 12 Days of Crochet Charity Challenge 2012, to make preemie hats for NICU’s across the globe.

I wanted something that was simple, yet interesting while not being too bulky and this is what my brain came up with. I have to say I really love the extended stitches making the spikes. So much fun!
