Spikes and Whorls Footies
I had a couple skeins of lavender CoBaSi in my stash and while I’m not usually one to base a design solely on the color of the yarn, this lavender yarn challenged me to design a lace that actually resembled the lavender plant. It features columns of twisted stitches that form a series of stacked loops, and waving eyelets which suggest the plants own ‘spikes and whorls’.
This pattern has a great deal of horizontal stretch. extra yarn may be needed for larger size depending on gauge.
There is a chart for an alternate version of the lace provided in the pattern
