This is a simple basket that I designed to use up some of the worsted weight yarn in my stash (and hold other yarn for projects that I’m currently working on!). There is also a simple modification to make an even easier basket without the spike stitches. The basket is made using two strands of worsted weight yarn held together.

Supplies: Worsted weight yarn in 4 colors. Approximately 390 yards of the main color (CA) and small amounts of the rest.

Difficulty Level: Intermediate

Finished Size: Approximately 12 inches in diameter & 8 inches tall

Stitches & Techniques: Single crochet, double crochet, half double crochet, spike stitches (explained in the pattern).
