Looking for a quick and fun fall or Christmas project? You can now make your own small hedgehog amigurumi plush to decorate your home or gift to friends and family!

The crochet pattern is beginner friendly, written in US crochet terms and consists of clear instructions, picture tutorials and a YouTube tutorial for extra explanation! This pattern leaves a lot of room for customisations to express your own creativity and you can use the materials and tools you are comfortable with.

To create your own Spikey, you do need some basic knowledge about crocheting in the round, the basic stitches, like: increasing & decreasing, how to crochet in the BLO and ensembling an amigurumi, but overall a lot of enthusiasm!

Materials

• 2.5 mm hook
• 2 mm hook
• scrap yarn or stitch marker
• polyester fibre fill (toy stuffing)
• yarn needle
• fingering cotton yarn 2.5 mm in the colours: White for the body Beige for muzzle, ears, arms and legs Light pink for the tongue Brown for the nose, eyes and spikes Red for the Xmas hat & bow.

Size
Exact gauge is not important for Amigurumi, you can adjust the size by using thicker or thinner yarn and another hook size. If you do use the materials and exact sizes as listed above, your hedhgehog will be approximately 8 cm tall and 7 cm wide.
