Spinal Tap Dishcloth
This is a great little dishcloth/towel pattern. It starts at a corner and works in a square to the opposite edge. Make it the size you like! (See Below.)
No more wondering if you have enough yarn! Cast off when you have 3x length of cast off edge left, and there should be just enough for the bind off!
Also great for learning to knit the “spine” in many knit shawl patterns!
ETA:
Hey, I was curious myself how I designed it, been a while. I took a look and it is work to desired size. So, make it as big as you want with the same method.
If you want a rectangular towel, bind off one side (half the stitches or so, whatever looks good with the yo’s there) and continue in garter stitch. If you want it semi-symmetrical, finish that hunk of garter and bind off. Then pick up sts in the opposite edge of the cloth, and knit down, the same number of stitches and rows in garter.
Make it work! You got this!
Best,
Whitney
