Sizing depends on the yarn used, gauge does not really apply. With the recommended yarn, you will get a spiderwith a 8x5cm body, the legs measure about 5 cm stretched.

Additionally to the main colour, of which about 13 m are needed, you will also need contrast colours for the eyes and the cross. Both are optional, the original pattern calls for google eyes to be glued on.
