Spinster Cardigan
Weave your own web with the Spinster Cardigan, a spooky cardigan knitted flat in one piece, with sleeves knit in the round. It includes beautiful colorwork details in contrast color, reminiscent of spiderwebs.
Inspired by the arachnid friends, it’s a quick knit since this yarn is a worsted/aran weight. You will need to be proficient in colorwork techniques, including intarsia and stranded. It looks great in black and white but you can be creative with the combination.
Materials
For Main Color: (7, 8, 8, 9, 10, 11, 13, 14, 14) skeins of Hobbii Friends Wool in 124 black or (763, 872, 872, 981, 1090, 1199, 1417, 1526, 1526) yards of worsted weight yarn.
For Contrast Color: 1 skein of Hobbii Friends Wool in 117 light gray or 109 yards of worsted weight yarn
4 mm circular needles or DPNs (or size to achieve gauge)
3.75 mm circular needles or DPNs (or 1 size smaller than larger needle)
8 to 12, 1/2 inch buttons
Gauge
20sts, 27 rows = 4 inches Knit flat in stockinette.
I also recommend swatching the yoke chart, the gauge will be slightly different from the stockinette swatch, it will give you an idea of how the colorwork works.
