This listing is for the original Olann knitting pattern of the Spiral Hand Knit Hat.

This is an intermediate level knitting pattern that uses knit and purl stitches, but also relies on the knitters intuition and basic knitting knowledge to keep the integrity of the Spiral pattern intact as the hat is knit in the round.

Knit on circular needles, the pattern works up quite quickly and looks amazing when you use a crisp bulky weight yarn to achieve excellent stitch definition. The sizing given is suitable for most adult sized heads.

Knit using approximately 102m / 112 yards of Bulky weight yarn, you can choose your favourite to knit this gorgeous design.

You’ll need 16” circular needles in 5mm (US size 8) and 6.5mm (US size 10.5), DPNs in the larger needle size, as well as stitch markers and a darning needle to complete this design.
