Patter description from One Skein: “I love the Bauhaus that form follows function. Putting this concept to work can be as easy as letting a stitch pattern dictate the design of a project, as in these drawstring bags. I began with a spiral rib pattern that curls around the bag body, then I bound off the purl stitches in the rib pattern and continued working the knit stitches to form tassel-like tabs at the top. An I-cord drawstring threaded through eyelets makes the closure.”

Finished Size: About 7 (8.5)“ (18 21.5 cm) wide with bag laid flat, and 7 (8)” (18 20.5 cm) tall from center of bottom to bind-off row for tabs.

• Chunky-weight (CYCA Bulky #5) yarn.
• Colinette Chrysalis (94% cotton, 6% nylon; 91 yd 83 m/100 g): #121 sunrise (pink multicolor) for small bag and #55 toscana (green/yellow/rose/blue multicolor) for large bag.

Needles:

• Size 10 (6 mm): 16” (40 cm) circular (cir) and set of 5 double-pointed (dpn).
• Change needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
