The fully updated Version 2 corrects some errors, adds stitch counts to every Round where the count changes, and updates a few instructions.

The second picture was worked from Version 2 in THREADBEAR DYEWORKS Quantum DK yarn, colorway Satan Zone, available at TheTwistedSkein.com.

The pattern consists of eight ridges and gutters that spiral upwards from the brim to the crown.

It is made with less than one skein (220 yards) of Cascade 220. It is recommended to use a light color for the best display of the spiral pattern.

Using the specified gauge (19 stitches over 4”) creates a hat with a 23.5 inch brim. To adjust the size, simply use a smaller or larger needle to produce a different gauge and calculate the length of 112 stitches to know the adjusted brim size.
