Spiral Sequence Cowl
This lovely textured cowl was cast on very shortly after I first saw a copy of Cecelia Campochiaro’s beautiful book on Sequence Knitting. The cowl uses a single skein of 10ply yarn and produces a fantastic spiralling texture that showcases a variegated yarn just beautifully.
The blocked and relaxed piece as knitted measured approximately 22cm/8.5in deep with a circumference of 72cm/28.5in, however the final size will vary according to your own choice of yarn and needle, as well as knitting tension.
Requirements:
4.5mm/US 7 and 5.5 mm/US 9 circular needles
Wool needle to darn in ends
100g or 200m/219yd of 10ply yarn
Knitting this piece also led me to the excellent discovery of the salad spinner as a blocking aid. Perfect for spinning out the water while maintaining the bounce.
