This Dragonpine Designs pattern was designed by Cathy Frauts.

This hat is knit in the round, starting from the brim of the hat. It features a spiral textured pattern with built-in decreases at the top of the hat. Add a pompom to finish the look, or wear it without one. Knitter’s choice!

Gauge: 9 stitches to 4” in textured pattern

Size: to fit the average adult’s head

Materials Required:
99 meters (1 ball) of Bernat Softee Chunky yarn, or other yarn in a super-bulky weight
8 mm x 16” circular knitting needle (optional)
8 mm double-pointed knitting needles (pattern is written for dpns)

Darning Needle (for weaving in ends)
