We all have days that seem to go off the rails. Perhaps we got out of bed feeling anxious, had a bad night’s rest, or ran into a frustrating situation at work or home. When things around us get complicated, it’s easy to make choices that don’t support our health, happiness, or mindfulness values. But, all it takes to stop the downward spiral is one positive choice! This crochet pattern is called the Spiral Up Cowl, and is designed specifically to help us start in a direction that is kind to our bodies and souls, no matter the day (or week!) we’ve had so far. When you’re feeling overwhelmed, sad, anxious, or just plain irritated, pick up this project and begin to spiral UP! A few meditative minutes where you focus on your breath, the yarn in your hand, and what you are thankful for can make all the difference to the rest of your day.

Worked in fingering weight yarn using only one stitch, the Spiral Up Cowl is a meditative pattern perfect for the special skeins that you’ve been saving!*

The Spiral Up Cowl is designed to use fingering weight yarn, but includes modification options so that it can be made in any weight of yarn. You can easily increase or decrease the width and depth of the cowl by adding or subtracting rounds. This pattern is worked from the bottom up in the round, then seamed at the end and turned sideways to create a double layered tube.

This pattern uses approximately 850-950 yards of fingering weight yarn.
