Tee dee deeh -dee dee deeh. I really hated that tune growing up ☺. It meant I had to wait another week for the next episode of Dr. Who. And this was when every story was 3 or 4 episodes long and each episode always ended with a cliffhanger.

As you might have guessed I am a Dr. Who fan. So when Alexandra asked me if I wanted to design a pattern for her January sock club edition All Through Space and Time, that was a no-brainer.

The pattern is written for 2 colours. Off course it can also be done in 1 colour. And I have included instructions for a right and a left sock. The legs are mirrored. The instep cannot be mirrored, the logo would be incorrect if you do that.

Advanced sock knitters: In my opinion, any pattern should contain all of the information you need to knit that particular pattern. You should be able to knit the whole pattern without having to use the internet or being a walking knitting encyclopedia. As a result my patterns are quite extensive. Take what you need and skip the other bits ☺.

Materials: 1 skein 4-ply sockyarn (75% wool, 25% Nylon, 420 meters / 100 grams) and 1 x 20 gram mini skein of the same sockyarn. (For my example I used the “Het Wolbeest sock club edition All Through Space and Time” 100 grams 75% BFL, 25% Nylon, 420 meters / 100 grams and the accompanying mini).
Needles: 5 dpn’s 2.5 mm (US 1½) or size necessary to obtain gauge.
Tools: Tapestry needle for weaving in ends, cable needle, stitchmarkers, scissors.
Gauge: 32 stitches and 44 rows per 10 cm (4 inches) in stockinette.
Size: One size M/L (European 36/37, 38/39, 40/41 & 42/43 or U.S. 8/9, 10/11)
