Spirit Guide Worry Doll
This is a no sew pattern for a ghost that I like to use as a “worry doll”, or a focal point that I can use to vent my problems.
If you don’t know what a worry doll is, in traditional and modern Guatemalan times, worry dolls are given or lent to brooding, anxious or sorrowful children. They would tell their doll about their sorrows, fears and worries, then hide it under their pillow before going to sleep at night. It is said that the child relinquishes their worries to the dolls during the night and by the next morning, all sorrows are said to have been taken away by the worry doll and they can move forward refreshed the next day.
It is a very simple pattern, and only takes about 30 minutes to put together, if you’re already familiar with the stitches used.
