An easy yet impactful design that adds three-dimensional structure and sense of movement to a table centrepiece. Intricate enough to stand alone, it can also underlie and frame a table decoration.

As a left-hander, I tend to crochet quite tightly and the hook size I used was 3.0 mm for this item but the recommended 4-ply yarn can comfortably handle smaller crochet hooks sizes without becoming too dense.

For the design shown, I used three contrast colours so the combined yardage totalled a single skein but the design is equally effective using fewer colours or even as one colour.
