Spitcurl Scarf
The Spitcurl Scarf is easy and fun to knit, a twisty puzzle that will have people {at least knitters} wondering how you did it. The inspiration was twofold; the spitcurls sticking out of Betty Boops adorable hairdo, and the desire to just get off the knitting grid for a change and make some curves.
The pattern requires size #8 US {possibly a #9 US for loose cast-on} knitting needles {or size to obtain gauge, and a yarn needle.
This pattern works with two weights of yarn. For the ground color, a lighter weight is called for: use a DK / 8 ply {11 wpi}. The stripe is just slightly heavier: use a Worsted / 10 ply (9 wpi).
You’ll need one ball {50 grams} of each.
Happy Knitting!
