Sometimes, all you need is a splash of neon. Inspired by San Francisco’s nightlife, the Splash of Neon Hat is a simple yet eye-catching beanie for all ages and genders. The zig-zag neon motif helps you stay visible on evening runs or adds some cuteness to the little ones’ wardrobes. The pattern includes written and charted instructions in four sizes so everyone in the family can jump in. One could also knit the Splash of Neon Hat in more natural or pastel hues for everyday wear.

The Splash of Neon Hat was part of LoveKnitting’s exclusive Splash of Neon Collection, published in February 2018.

Sizes: Child (Teen, Small Adult, Large Adult) = 16 (18, 20, 22)”

Gauge: 5.5 sts = 1” in stockinette on larger needles.

Yarn: Paintbox Yarns Simply DK (3.5 oz/ 100 g, 302 yds/ 276 m, 100% Acrylic) 1 ball each of Granite Grey #106 (MC), Neon Pink #156 (CC 1), and Neon Yellow #158 (CC 2), or any DK weight yarn.

Needles: US size #4 (3.5mm) 16” circular and US size #6 (4mm) 16” circular and dpns, or any size necessary to obtain gauge.

Other Materials: Stitch marker, darning needle.
