Splash the Axolotl
This pattern (written tutorial with photos) includes a PDF allowing you to crochet Splash the Axolotl!
Pattern Level: Beginner-Intermediate
Supplies:
For Axolotl (about 11-12 inches tall including gills):
-4mm crochet hook
-3.5mm crochet hook
-Small hook (I use 2.5mm) to attach gill frills
-Blue worsted weight yarn for main body color (I used Red Heart in Turqua)
-Yellow worsted weight yarn for gills, frills, and tail detail (I used Red Heart in Bright Yellow)
-Black worsted weight yarn for sunglasses
-White worsted weight yarn for sunglasses
-Dark Pink worsted weight yarn for sunglasses (I used Red Heart in Shocking Pink
-Black embroidery thread or yarn for mouth
-Fiberfil to stuff
-Poly Pellets or weights of your choice (optional)
-Sewing needle to sew body parts together and weave in ends
-Scissors
For Duck Floaty:
-4mm crochet hook
-3.5mm crochet hook
-Yellow worsted weight yarn for duck (I used Red Heart in Bright Yellow)
-Orange worsted weight yarn for beak (I used Red Heart in Pumpkin)
-Two black 4mm safety eyes with backs
-Fiberfil to stuff
-Sewing needle to weave in ends
-Scissors
Abbreviations:
st/sts – stitch/stitches
fo - finish off
mc – magic circle
ch – chain
sl st – slip stitch
sc – single crochet
hdc – half double crochet
sc2tog – single crochet two together (decrease)
blo - back loop only
