Split Granite Arm Warmer
This is an easy pattern that uses knit, purl and a slip stitch. All you’re doing is making a 6x9 in rectangle. Then sewing the sides up.
You can leave a space for a thumb hole if you want. It’s up to you where to place it. Some people want their knuckles covered and some don’t. When you’re half way up in sewing it place your hand inside the arm warmer. Decide where you want it then take 2 safety pins and place them where the beginning and end of the thumb hole should be. Sew up to the first one. Don’t cut your yarn just weave it up the side of the arm warmer then what you get to the 2nd pin start sewing it again as normal.
IN REGARDS to the size, you want this arm warmer’s width to be 1/2 inch more then the size of the wrist it’s going on. I have a 6 inch wrist so I would need the arm warmer to be 6 1/2 inches wide.
