Hey, Vulcans’ hands get cold, too!

This mitten/glove hybrid has a regulation Star Fleet Science Officer uniform sporting lieutenant commander stripes on the sleeves. Right hand, which emerges from the sleeve, gives the Vulcan salute while left hand is a standard mitten.

Materials:
• Worsted weight yarn:
blue for the sleeve – 2 ½ oz. /65 gm.
yellow/gold for the stripes – 1 oz. /30 gm.
and skin tone for the hands – 1 oz. /30 gm.
• 1 set double-pointed needles US 6 or the size needed to give you correct gauge
• 2nd set of double-pointed needles 1 size smaller than the main set
• Row marker
• Tapestry needle for hemming and weaving in ends

The pattern is written to fit an adult woman’s hand. You can adjust the length for the wearer.
