This design is a story about a friendship between a little pumpkin and a spider. They are both a little spooky, but they are the bestest of friends and have so much fun together.

Materials
• US Size 0 (2.00 mm) set of dpns or circular needles (for Magic Loop method); tapestry needle
• Light Fingering weight yarn – 231 y/50 g (211m/50 g):
Black (Background color) – 139 y/30 g
Orange (Contrast color 1) – 60 y/13 g
Green (Contrast Color 2) – 51 y/11g
White (Contrast color 3) – 47 y/10 g

Gauge: 9 sts x 13 rows = 1 x 1 inch in stranded colorwork

Notes

1. Size: The mittens are 68 stitches. With recommended yarn and needles, they’ll fit an 8 inch circumference hand. For larger size use larger needles and thicker yarn.
2. Stranded colorwork: Follow the charts from right to left. Make sure to catch longer floats using preferred method.
3. This design will look better with darker background color.
4. Some of the design elements are added using duplicate stitch technique after the knitting is finished: spider’s eyes, web string, leaf on the web.
