The Spooky Season Scarf is for all of us, autumn lovers. I don’t know about you, but I start feeling Halloween is near in August. That’s why I like to be prepared.

I made this scarf not specifically halloweeny. I love Samhain, Mabon, All Saints’ Eve and just autumn and witchcraft vibes in general. So that we could wear it all season long.

This is a written pattern for those who have tried knitting complex things already. It’s labeled ‘intermedeate’. It has just one really tricky section though. So if you’re feeling that you’re ready to move on to the next level of knitting, I think you can make it (and a scarf is a nice item to practice)!

You’ll need 6 colours of yarn (1 skein each), 3.5 mm needles, scissors to cut the yarn and a crochet hook to attach the fringe. About 470 m (513 yards) of yarn in total.

One size. But easy to make it longer and even wider.
Length: 164 cm (65 in)
Width: 26 cm (10 in)

Gauge: 18 sts and 28-30 rows (depending on the section pattern) = 10 cm or 4 in after blocking.
