“Sportwear for Men” golfing cardigan from 1925.

One size, (men’s) 38-40. Uses 6 balls of Fawn, 3 balls of Brown no. 540, and one ball of “Henna” Bear Brand or Bucilla Knitting Worsted. Or, “For a lightweight sweater, use Shetland Floss, 8 balls main color, 2 balls contrasting color; embroider with Knitting Worsted”.

The back is made in plain ribbing in fawn color. The fronts are not, as they seem, made in stranded technique, but in plain stripes of fawn and brown, with the design embroidered on later in duplicate stitch / Swiss darning.
