It can be knitted in worsted weight yarn in three colors, or worsted yarn held together with a strand of mohair lace. The stranded section features an easy, 4-stitch-repeat pattern, and the folded brim will be cozy around your ears. Knit one for your friends too, as a gift!

Sizes: Medium: 19” circumference unstretched (to fit head size 19” to 22”), Large: 21” (to fit head size 23” to 24”)

Height: 9.5” with brim folded
Gauge: 22 sts x 24 rows = 4” (10 cm) in stranded knitting
25 sts x 24 rows = 4” (10 cm) in ribbing, unstretched.

Needle: US #6 (circular needle) 16” for brim.
US #8 (circular needle) 16” and DPNs for body.

Materials:
Worsted weight yarn, approx. 150 yards in MC, plus 35 yards each in CC1 and CC2

Optional: One strand of Worsted yarn held together with one strand of Lace weight yarn, approx. 220 yards worsted, 220 yards lace.
