Sporty Diamond Socks
Sporty Diamond Socks
This fine looking two colour sock is not only pretty, it also has a clever solution to maintaining the elasticity throughout the colourwork. It uses a variation of ladder-back stitches to carry the contrast colour yarn and avoid long sensitive floats on the back.
The construction of the sock is otherwise conventional; knitted top down with a reinforced heel flap and a shaped toe.
Materials
Yarn: 2 x 100 g Drops Fabel (210 m / 50 g, 75% wool, 25% polyamide) or equivalent in contrasting colours
Needles and notions: Double pointed needles size 2½ mm or US 1½, 4 stitch markers
Gauge: 32 sts / 44 rows in Stockinette stitch = 10 cm or 4 inches
Sizes: Ladies XS/S M L XL
Skill level: Intermediate or advanced
Rutiga sportsockor
Material
Garn: 2 x 100 g sock-garn, ca 420 m / 100 g, i två kontrasterande färger

Stickfasthet: 32 maskor / 44 varv slätstickning = 10 cm
Storlekar: Dam XS/S M L XL
Svårighetsgrad: Medium eller avancerad
Some words from the test knitters:
The Ladder Back was a bit tricky at the start but after that it was easy.
The instructions were easy to read - but I couldn’t make friends with Ladder back.
First time for me working ladderback. The fabric is nice and stretchy…
The sock is a little thicker than the average sock. It will be great to wear in boots but it might not fit in some of my shoes.
