DETAILS ABOUT CONSTRUCTION OF SAMPLE BLANKET:
Link to TIGHT JOIN: https://www.gathered.how/knitting-and-crochet/crochet/how...
To join my squares, I used a tight join using SC and I joined them continuously. (Less ends are my favorite. LOL!)
The yarn I used for joining is Lion Brand Wool-Ease in “Linen” along with a size I hook. After all of my squares were joined, I continued around with 2 rounds of Moss\Linen stitch in the same colorway as the joining yarn. Then two rounds of Moss\Linen stitch in 2 coordinating SCRAP YARN colors. I then did 1 more round of Moss\Linen stitch in the “Linen”. (IMPORTANT NOTE: I worked all FIVE rounds of Moss\Linen stitch with SC, chain 2, SC in each of the CORNERS.) Upon the last round of Moss/Linen stitch and working in the chain 1 spaces, I worked DC. Ch 1. Skip next stitch. all around, making DC, ch 3, DC in each CORNER ch 2 space. One more round of Moss/Linen stitch was worked upon the last round.
MODIFIED RICK RACK BORDER Working on the foundation of Moss/Linen Stitch: Its SS, DC, SS worked in chain 1 space. Skip next stitch. SS in next chain 1 space. SS in next stitch. SS in next chain 1 space. SS in next stitch. Repeat from * to * all around, making 2 SS, DC, 2 SS in EACH CORNER. SS = Slip Stitch.
