My niece bought her first house and as a housewarming gift I gave her a teapot with a cosy to keep the tea warm. As she’s young I wanted a simple, modern design for her and her husband although this will suit many people. I chose charcoal, white and corn yellow but there are endless possibilities for colour combinations. The spots only take a small amount of yarn so great for using up those little bits of yarn in your stash.

Needless to say they were delighted with their gift for their new home.

The cosy is knitted flat on 2 needles and seamed and involves simple colour work.
