Say ‘Hi’ to the cutest monster in town named Spots! He will surely capture your heart with his happy spots and wide smile.

This pattern describes in US terminology how to crochet an adorable monster with colored spots, as shown in pictures. Finished size will be approx. 10.6” (27 cm), crocheted with hook size E (3,5 mm) and acrylic DK / 8 ply yarn.
If you wish to make a taller or smaller version of this amigurumi you can just use thicker or thinner yarn and a matching size crochet hook. This pattern is also suitable for wool or cotton yarn.

Stylecraft Special DK and crochet hook E (3,5 mm) were used to create the blue monster in the pictures. SMC Schachenmayr Catania Cotton and crochet hook C (2,5 mm) were used to create the pink monster in the pictures. It measures approx. 7” (18 cm) tall.

Gauge is not important for this pattern, just crochet tight enough so the stuffing will not show through the stitches.

Materials:

• Crochet hook size E (3,5 mm)
• Fiberfill stuffing, safety eyes 12 mm, 2 small pieces of white felt (for eye - white)
• Yarn; blue (approx. 100 gr, 260 m, 284 yds), small amount of white, for the spots; small amounts of red, green, yellow, pink
• Stitch marker, tapestry needle, pins, optional: white sewing thread, black embroidery floss

Stitches used: chain, slip stitch, single crochet, half double crochet, double crochet, bobble stitch (instruction included), working in front - back loops, increasing, decreasing

Skill level: advanced beginner - intermediate
