Spotted Toadstool Beret
Slip-stitch “gills” and white spots make the most out of a beret’s mushroom-like shape and turn your baby into a little toadstool! Sizes from baby to small grown-up mean the whole family can be toadstools together!
This adorable hat is a great way to try out stranded knitting, because its spotted pattern is easy to memorize. If stranded knitting scares you too much, you can always make the mushroom cap all one color, or use duplicate stitch to add some spots later on!
This pattern is part of the upcoming Woodlands Collection of knit patterns for babies and children. It is sold separately now but in the future will also be available as part of the full collection at a package price.
Three page pattern includes four photographs and written instructions for the slipped and stranded patterns used, as well as detailed blocking instructions.
