Spotty Dotty Sock by Naomi Fox
I love polka dots and wanted to write a range of knitting patterns with this design. This is a simple repeat over 5 rows and can be added using stranded colourwork or duplicate stitch, whichever is your preference. It uses a 4 ply / fingering weight yarn on 2.25mm needle and is knit in the round. Because of the simplicity of the repeat, it is a relatively quick knit. It is perfect for using scrap yarn as the dots only need a few metres.
This sock comes in four sizes from 7 inch to 11 inch foot circumference which covers men, women and teenage sizing.
It is knit cuff down using a 1x1 rib. The heel is flap gusset heel construction and a barn toe which avoids toe grafting.
I used “Maroon Mix” and “Light Grey Pearl Mix” in Drops Alpaca. This sock comes in 4 adult sizes from small, medium, large and extra large

Sizing
Foot circumference ( this is the actual foot circumference for each size, negative ease is taken into account in the pattern automatically)
Small = 7-8 inches
Medium = 8-9 inches
Large = 9-10 inches
Extra large = 10-11 inches

Materials
Yarn – 4 ply yarn
Main Colour 70g / 280m (81g / 324m, 90g / 360m, 108g / 432m)
Contrasting colour – between 6g / 24m and 10g / 40m
Needles – 2.25mm circular or dpns
