A smaller version of a dishcloth, the scrubby texture comes from crocheting into alternating back & front loops.
This is a great way to use up leftover cotton yarn.
Make this as small or as big as you like.
As written, this pattern yields a 6 ½ inch wide scrubby, which uses 20-22 grams of worsted weight cotton yarn. Included are directions for making the scrubby larger, if desired.
~ Named after Mr. Septimus Spratt, the Dowager Countess’ butler in Downton Abbey.
