Spread Your Wings Shawl
This is a triangle shawl knit from the bottom to the top by alternating lace short rows and solid colored garter ridges.
You will be using two contrasting yarns of ANY weight. The finished shawl shown on the pattern used two skeins of worsted weight yarn from Alexandra’s Crafts called “Pendleton.” The pattern’s lace and garter sections were repeated until the yarn ran out.
You can make this shawl as large or small as you want by knitting more or less of these repeats. (You can even use this as a stash busting project by changing yarns for the lace sections.)
Gauge is not important for this shawl, but it tends to look and feel better when larger needles (about a size or two up) are used. So, if your yarn calls for a 7, use an 8 or 9. (This may vary depending on how tight or loose you knit, of course.)
I hope you enjoy knitting your own Spread Your Wings Shawl!
