I have knit several versions of this basic Raglan T-shirt with short sleeves to long sleeves. The gauge on 5mm needles create a drapey fabric that moves with the body.

I have created classes around this pattern and my students have enjoyed lovely results that they wear again and again.

If the i-cord detail is intimidating just cast on the number of required stitches and work a 1X1 rib for 10 rounds. Then begin the shaping and the stocking stitch.
