Super sweet coasters that will make every cuppa that extra bit fancy and happy!

Quick to whip up and great for stash busting.
Ideal for gifting or market stall stock.

Pattern Details:

  • Recommended Yarn: DK/8 ply/Cat. 3 weight yarn ~10g/0.35Oz per coaster. Worsted yarn may also be used; however, coasters will be bigger than the size listed below. Any fibre/yarn that is easy to wash and does not readily pill (such as cotton, cotton blends, easy wash wool, and non-pill acrylic).
  • Hook Size: Use yarn label instructions as a guide for selecting hook size. Swatch to determine the optimal hook size for your tension.
  • Coaster Size: Varies with chosen yarn and design variant, however approximate size of coasters made in DK yarn: 11.5-14cm/4.5-5.5in in diameter.
  • Skill Level: Intermediate.
  • Stitch Terminology: US. Refer to Abbreviations and Special Stitch Instructions.
  • Gauge: Not required/not important for this item.
  • Pattern Synopsis: Constructed in the round, commencing with a circle. Rounds 1 to 3 construct the flower inner circle and then Rounds 4 to 6 (depending on design option) construct the petals. Instructions are provided for both an unstructured coaster (on this blog, with five rounds in total) and a structured coaster (in pattern pdf, with up to six rounds in total).
