I was asked to design a shawl in collaboration with two amazing women, talented yarn dyer, Danielle of Raxor Yarns, and wonderful shepherdess, Ronelle of Cloverleaf Corriedale Stud. Of course I said YES!

Who wouldn’t want to design a shawl with such beautiful yarn and amazing colours.

So along came my yarn, a beautiful dusty pink and a steel blue. Bliss.

I wanted a shawl that was as calming and relaxing to knit as the yarn was to look at. I wanted a shawl that reflected the coming season of spring. To me the pink was all about spring blossom.

So that is what I designed, a crescent shaped shawl, with easy garter, some lovely eyelets, mosaic colour work, and then a punch of lace at the end. All of it, to me, represents the garden, spring, renewal and joy.

I hope you enjoy knitting my version Spring Blossom as much as I did designing it and if you have any issues with it, please message me through Ravelry. I am homeon15acres.
