Spring Blossoms Shawl (S2015)
Designed by Eugen Beugler.
Blossoms are bountiful on this beautiful shawl. Purl stitches outline the leaves and define the stems, creating an interesting texture in the stockinette stitch lace pattern. Knit from the center out, the shawl is cast off with a simple crochet chain edging that can be started near the end of any 16-round repeat, making it easy to customize the size.
The sample was knit in laceweight yarn, but the shawl also looks great in fingering, sport, or dk and light worsted weight yarns. Designed for the adventurous knitter, this heirloom quality shawl will bring a bouquet of compliments through many seasons.
Yarn Requirements:
Approximately 1300 yards of lace weight yarn. Shown in violet Zephyr from Jaggerspun.
Needle: A set of double pointed needles, a 16” and a 24” circular, all in US size 4.
