It is well known in Canada that just because it’s spring doesn’t mean it won’t snow at least one more time. I always judge when the risk of snow has past by the warmth in the wind. There’s a switch that happens in late spring when the icy North wind relaxes into a gentle spring breeze. These happy little socks are the perfect accoutrement for spring sneakers, with bright cuffs and cables ready to shine in warm weather.

Sizes
There are three sizes available in pattern, small (18cm foot circumference), medium (20cm foot circumference), and large (22.5cm foot circumference). Note that the sizes listed are measured around the sock, so find your size by measuring your foot and then subtracting 10%.

The gauge is listed for the cable chart, since the cables are likely to affect your gauge.

Yarn and Yardage
Two contrasting skeins of yarns are used in this pattern. The yardage for C1 (the cuff, heel, and toe colour), is 50 - 70 yards , and the yardage for C2, the main colour, is 100 - 150 yards. Approximately 150 - 220 yards in total are needed.

Notions
Knitting needles (DPNs or circulars will work), cable needle, darning needle, stitch markers, and sock blockers.

This pattern features plenty of cables. In addition to knowledge of cuff down, in the round, heel flap and gusset sock construction, basic knowledge of cabling is needed for this pattern.
