I have another one of my fun potato pets for you - this time I made a chick crochet project! Not just any ol’ chick for Easter.. no a Lemon Chick to go with my Strawberry Cow (also in store). Fruity Animal Crochets are so fun and easy to make, you just have to add some quirky little details!! Of course you can simply make it as regular Easter chick crochet too!

I used a 2mm hook to make this chick and slightly different cotton yarn to my previous potato pets, which means this chick is little bigger. But it is such a versatile pattern, you can use any thickness of yarn, just use the right hook to go with it. If you check out my Axolotl Plush, you see how this pattern converts using extra chunky chenille wool and using a 10mm hook!

The large on eis about about 8inch tall. The small toy is about 3inch tall. I used recycled stuffing (old pillows) and rice to fill both toys.

My crochet tends to be on the small side, your final versions may be al little bigger.

The instructions mainly uses basic crochet stitches - SC, DC, TC, HDC.
