These little chickens are a quick, whimsical knit and the perfect way to keep your hard boiled egg warm in the morning (while also using up scrap yarn and making your family smile).

They are knit in the round. The finished chicken has a 6.5 inch circumference and a 3 inch height.

One ball of worsted weight wool (110 yards) was easily able to produce 4 of these. The pattern only requires a few yards of contrasting color, making these a great stash buster.
