Spring Chicks
These Spring Chicks are the perfect size to cover a plastic Easter egg.
Years ago, our dear friend Randi Bjorge left a little crochet chick on our doorstep. Inside the little egg were chocolate eggs with a note that said, “He is Risen”. For several years, she left the same little gift on our doorstep until everyone in our family had a little chick of their own. Decades later, our children still have these special little chickens their baskets.
I wanted to continue this traditions, but I’m a knitter so, I came up with my own knit version inspired by Randi’s Spring Chicks. You can use these eggs to cover plastic Easter eggs, or as a cozy for soft boiled eggs.
There are instructions for 5 different Spring Chicks in this pattern.
