This pattern uses very basic stitches and can be knit flat or in the round (the pattern has instructions for both). The use of two different yarns require the change of needle size during a colour change.

It has also been brought to my attention that one of the recommended techniques for the seams (kitchener) is not a great choice as it is a weak seam. I have had no issues with it but if you want to play it safe stick to a standard cast off & seam technique.
