This shallow triangular shawl is worked bottom-up starting with the lace border, which is a mix of the garter stitch, lace and eyelet patterns. The lace border adds a delicate touch to this rather casual accessory. After the lace border is complete, the body is knit in garter stitch pattern and shaped into a triangle using short rows knitting technique.
The lace border is worked in two colours, MC and CC, using one colour at a time.
The instructions for the lace border are written and charted.
Even though a small shawl could be a practical choice for many, it is easy to make this shawl in larger sizes, just by increasing the number of cast-on stitches in increments of 16 stitches.
