Spring Green Jumper
THE instructions given are for (a?) jumper knitted in cotton, and for this any of the mercerised crochet cottons in heavier weight or pearl cottons are suitable. Stranded cotton in the ball is also a satisfactory medium. If preferred, for the colder Southern States, the jumper could be made up in two or three ply wool, or a fine crochet or crepe yarn wool.
MATERIALS.-Knitting cotton or crepe yarn, 14 oz. blue, 2 oz. white ; 2 long steel knitting needles, No. 3; 1 crochet
hook, No. 2½;. 7 large white buttons; 2 small white buttons; 1 belt buckle.
GENERAL WORKING PLAN. — In order to ensure a good fit for the jumper, it is advisable to work it according to a well-cut pattern. Such a pattern can be easily made out of paper by following the accompanying diagram, which gives the measurments in inches for 36in. bust. To make it larger or smaller, add a corresponding number of inches.
