Spring in September
I wanted to design a really fun, casual, elegant bateau-neck sweater with delicate stripes. I loved the first one that I knitted so much that I decided to knit a 2nd one. I wear both of them all the time, so comfy. Feel free to play around with colors!
This sweater is super easy and a fast knit. It is knitted in the round up to the armholes where you switch to flat knitting. Sleeves are knit top down. Armhole width, sleeve length, width and neck width can all be customized to your personal preferences.
Design features:
- Seamless
- Hi-Lo Split hem and split sleeve cuffs
- Bateau neck
- 3/4 Drop-Shoulder Sleeves
- Stripes
Available Sizes: XS (S, M, L, XL, XXL)
Finished Bust Measurements:
34 (38, 42, 46, 50, 54) in
86.5 96.5, 107, 117, 127, 137 cm
Choose a size that is 3-5” (8-10cm) larger than your bust size. This sweater is not meant to be worn fitted.
Yarn needed: XS (S M L XL XXL)
MC (Pink): 920(1000,1200,1300,1450,1550) yds
CC (Cream): 225 (225, 250, 250, 275, 300) yds
MC (Pink): 840 (915, 1100, 1190, 1325, 1420) m
CC (Cream): 205 (205, 230, 230, 250, 275) m
Note: A couple of people have noted that the sleeves are too wide but if you look at the sleeves in the pattern, they are more fitted. In order to get the proper fit for the sleeves you must overlap the ribbing of the front and back of the sweater when you sew the “shoulder seam” together. If you don’t, you will end up with a sleeve that is at least 1” wider in circumference.
